Job description
Knight Broadband, LLC. is a fast-growing Outside Plant & Fiber Construction Company. We are currently hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team at the corporate office in Clearwater, FL. This is a high earning (base + commission), high level consultative sales opportunity for you to expand your professional sales in the construction trade and be an integral player as KBB as we become one of the most successful outside plant construction, engineering, and services contractors in the Southeastern US.

Education requirements
Associate Degree or above (Preferred)
Experience requirements
Minimum 3 years outside business development sales
Heavy industry, construction, telecom, utilities, or engineering sales or operations experience (Preferred)
Qualifications
- Three years sales experience preferred in Construction, telecommunications or engineering industries, specifically selling to contractors, B2B sales, service providers, developers in a technical sales capacity
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal skills
- Ability to use computer spreadsheet and word processing programs
- Demonstrated aptitude in computer skills including extensive use and understanding of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
- Source new business leads; visits potential, new and existing clients
- Hunter, seeking prospects in the municipal, service provider, general contractor, developer, and OEM arena’s
- Maintains excellent customer relationships and provides quality service to the customer by troubleshooting and providing follow-up on sales
- Provide weekly sales reports of clients visited, potential projects
- Keep calendar of upcoming meetings, site visits, lunches, trade shows
- Keeps current on all related products and on industry trends
- Monitors sales trends and prepares related sales and expense reports monthly
- Committed to service excellence; provide customer service information, problem solving (including explanations, alternatives, and realistic time frame for solving), and follow up
- Maintains strong aptitude for learning new concepts. Focus on sales strategies and category initiatives
- This job requires a lot of travel throughout the state of FL and some travel to NC/SC

- Experienced selling heavy equipment and or technical services in large scale to construction service providers and has an existing client rolodex in Florida, North and South Carolina

Work hours
Regular Work Week Monday - Friday.
